Configuring Control-M fields for MS Task Scheduler jobs

This procedure describes how to configure Control-M fields for MS Task Scheduler jobs. You can configure Control-M fields (such as Folder, Application and Sub Application) by changing the default values in the setting.cfg file.

You can enter specific values so they can be identified in the Monitoring domain in Control-M client, so you know exactly how many jobs the discovery tool is running on your environment.

To Configure Control-M Fields for MS Task Scheduler jobs:

1. Close the Conversion Tool.
2. Locate the setting.cfg file in <Conversion Home>\data\ and set one or more of the following parameters:
   • MS_DISCOVERY_JOBS_FOLDER_NAME=Conversion_discovery_MS
   • MS_DISCOVERY_JOBS_APPLICATION=Conversion_discovery
   • MS_DISCOVERY_JOBS_SUB_APPLICATION=MS
3. Open the Conversion Tool and continue with Defining a new MS Task Scheduler conversion project.
